Lady GaGa, who’s fond of performing in naughty underwear ensembles, chains and stripper heels, got her start playing Brooklyn parties and clubs in Manhattan in 2005 with her equally brazen backup dancers. “I put together a show in New York where we spun beats on vinyl and I played keyboards over the records,” she says. “We wore matching bikinis,” Lady GaGa giggles, adding that the show was “yummy.”
It remains to be seen whether or not the rest of America will find Lady GaGa’s musical offerings as delicious as New York does. Her music sounds not unlike a drunken Madonna, Peaches and Kylie Minogue recording session with lots of sticky Champagne spilled on the demos. Lady GaGa’s debut disc, made for the “rock and rollers who wanted to listen to pop records,” drops this summer.

New York City's up-and-coming performance artist and club diva, Lady GaGa, is hitting the road to build buzz for her upcoming full-length debut, The Fame.
GaGa, who is quickly becoming famous for her outrageous stage presence and live performances, promises her shows for this tour are a step up from what fans may have experienced in the past. "My new show will be a bit more fine-tuned and more polished than what people have seen from me before," she said. "It's still theatrical. The disco ball and hot pants are still there, but I'm taking it up a notch. I'm trading in my clear stripper shoes for some [Jimmy] Choos this time."

first time i saw this video (which is not an original concept at all, see Kelly Clarkson "Miss Independent" and Robbie Williams "Come Undone" (seriously, go to youtube and look) but something about Miss GaGa makes it so much more artful. love her mucho. but sad her debut CD sounds more like a gwen stefani cd and than a fisherspooner CD, which is how she is selling it.
