I haven't been around here (or around anywhere else to say the truth) lately, what great posts!

Helmut Newton was a genius, it is quite annoying to see him so much and so vulgarly copied, as if "sauciness" or fetish was the essence of his art, when it was only a way to convey much deeper meaning.

Your post about Yves was also beautiful, perfeclty chosen photograph and great video... thank you.

(And thank you for passing by my flickr!)

I love Elsa Peretti and I love that she is holding a cigarette. I once saw Ms. Peretti with the model Pat Cleveland on East 57th laughing together. It was 1979 and I was 10 years old and I knew who they were! Strange kid me : )

What an interesting use of such simplistic resources but utilizing ingeniously the shades between black and white. The feel reveals enough to inspire a story, to incite emotion, action. The geometric shapes are quite taking too. There's a lot here.

i've never wanted to be a bunny girl...until now. this photo simply wraps up a fantasy of the big city, beautiful people, outrageous parties and love for life. i heart new york.
